The Beekman Boys win The Amazing Race and end the “Year of Sacrifice”

The “year(s) of sacrifice” is over for The Fabulous Beekman Boys! On the season finale of last night’s The Amazing Race, Josh Kilmer-Purcell and partner (now fiancé) Dr. Brent Ridge ran to the winner’s circle, much to the astonishment of pretty much everyone on set and at home watching. These two country gentlemen competed with grace and kindness even when faced with some pretty harsh treatment from other players. In the end, nice finished first with a kiss and hug, tons of applause, and a million dollar check, which is the exact amount needed to end years of living apart. Continue reading

That’s right all you Beek-Geeks! The Fabulous Beekman Boys are officially back and more fabulous than ever at their new home on The Cooking Channel. For those not in the know, TFBB are a couple of former city slickers,  Dr. Brent Ridge and author Josh Kilmer Purcell, who fell in love with an old farm in Sharon Springs, New York. Like a modern-day Green Acres, the two say goodbye to city life and are attempting to make a go at it as farmers, cookbook authors, shop owners, and cheesemakers. Continue reading

It’s been a long, long, LONG seven months while we Beek-Heads waited for Season 2 of The Fabulous Beekman Boys to begin on Planet Green. Well, the wait is over and Brent, Josh, Farmer John, and that diva Polka Spot are hitting the airways tonight with even more goaty goodness.What started out as a simple show about sustainable living has morphed into a fruitful frenzy of fanatical fans following the boys via television, books (The Bucolic Plague), website, and even a goat-cam.
