Who’s ready for a Cheese Rally in Raleigh? The American Cheese Society has kicked off its Early Bird registration for ACS members to sign up and attend the annual ACS Cheese Conference in Raleigh, N. Carolina. Members can log on to the ACS website and register for the 4-day event starting on August 1st running through August 4th.
Keynote speaker this year will be author and humane livestock handling expert Dr. Temple Grandin. Other highlights of the event include either a tour of Chapel Hill, voted one of “America’s Foodiest Small Towns” or a “Curds to Beer” Raleigh-Durham pub-crawl. Cheesemakers will be on hand for a meet and greet as well as book signings and networking events. A full itinerary can be found at the ACS website so be sure to check it out.
The Mouse is definitely attending this year (first time attendees even have a special reception!) and is really looking forward to finally meeting the people behind cheese favorites.
Who will be named “Best in Cheese” this year? Better hurry up and register to come find out!
