With the recent announcement of the iPhone 4 that’s due to release later this month, it stands to reason that some of the thousands of new Apple Cult members will be fromagaphiles.
Fortunately, Slashfood contributor Max Shrem has narrowed the cheese apps down to some of the top picks, however it is by no means the sole count of what iTunes has to offer (see article after the jump)
Being an iPhone user myself, I have pretty much every cheese app available. Unfortunately, not all apps are created equal in price or content. Wisconsin Cheese Cupid (seen above) is looks pretty and gives great suggestions for pairings, however it isn’t all that user-friendly. It is free, though, so there is really no risk in downloading it.
Cheeses and Fromage are other popular apps, however they aren’t free, they’re $1.99 and $2.99 respectively. Cheeses offer selections by country and milk type, which is pretty nifty and Fromage offers pairings along with descriptions.
All the apps have their pluses and minuses, so it is really personal preference when it comes to choosing which to download – or just be like me and get ’em all!
