About/Contact

Hey there! My name is Robin and I am a picky eater. I know this sounds like some “Food Aversion Anonymous” intro but it’s the best way to describe my food quirks.

Most foods freak me out.  I didn’t have my first strawberry until I was 31 and I am still trying out the most basic of produce.  My mother always tried to get me to taste things, but cheese was where I was at.  She started to call me her “Little House Mouse”, which is where I got the name for this blog.

I am a member of the American Cheese Society and featured writer for their blog, website, and Facebook account.

I am always looking out for the next best, stinky, nutty, sharp, creamy cheese so feel free to send me suggestions! Thanks for reading.

hi robin. the blog looks great. the font and format remind me of the nytimes. nice! i would only disagree about your “amazingly smart boyfriend” tee hee. will keep reading about your cheese adventures. hey if you have a trader joes nearby, though it is not stinky nor truly “gourmet”, at a recent brunchy type thing i had their brie in a box. you just pop that thing right in the oven in its little wooden box and voila, melty cheesy goodness on a budget. congrats on your project. i love it. cheers!xxc

    • The House Mouse

Hey there Cathy. Thanks for the input! I will check out the Trader Joe’s brie today. Cheese should be affordable as well as tasty. Some of the cheeses I have reviewed are very good but break the bank, which can take some of the fun out of tasting them, especially if they get too ripe or are disappointing. Who wants to dole out $25.00 for a cheese that is just awful? Thanks again for the support! Happy Eating!

PS-He may not be perfect, but I think we can agree that Boyfriend is pretty darn cool! :D
